Lake Lucerne or Vierwaldstättersee is a jewel in central Switzerland with its variety of arms and uninterrupted dreamlike mountain scenery, dramatic cliffs and history central to Switzerland itself. Our two days uncover a good portion of the lake with a start in Weggis in the central part of the lake and a journey down towards Brunnen where we spend the night. The second day for the most dramatic part of the lake, Urnersee. This part of Lake Lucerne is remote, wild and incredibly beautiful, and when the weather conditions allow we make a circular trip exploring its wonder, and experiencing the often rough conditions that the lake provides.

I was very impressed with the organisation from start to finish. Questions were answered promptly on the WhatsApp Group.
Karel led the group extremely well passing on advice to individuals where he saw room for improvement and to the group as a whole. I particularly liked his style of instruction... asking us to think what we were actually doing and what the effects were before making a correction.
The route was flexible and we made decisions as a group as we went along whist still covered a decent distance in a timely manner. Having a map to refer to was very helpful. The safety skills we practiced on Saturday afternoon were just what I had been looking for in earlier correspondence with Hightide. Those of us who camped on Saturday evening had a convivial evening with pizza and a few beers by the lake. Overall the weekend has given me a lot more confidence on the water especially in windier conditions. I will definitely be doing other trip with Hightide and would recommend the company to others without hesitation.
One area of improvement would be to highlight the accommodation options for this trip. Camping and hotel space is tight on 4WSS in summer. Highlighting what camping options are available on the trip webpage could be useful.
